Growing up in western Nepal I enjoyed a free range childhood climbing trees, running free and dodging snakes. Over the years I learnt to appreciate how gaining a little confidence in the outdoors can be life changing for so many people and followed this passion into a career in outdoor leadership.
Since moving to Achiltibuie, after pursuing a degree in physiotherapy, I moved into a full time career in the outdoors by setting up Hamlet Mountaineering, the sister business to Kayak Summer Isles.
Between the two, I’m not one to rest easy. I enjoy guiding in many aspects of the outdoors as an advanced canoe and sea kayak leader, M.C.I instructor, first aid instructor and powerboat instructor. In my spare time, I’m the current acting leader of Assynt Mountain Rescue and the proud father of two young boys.
At heart, I’m just a big kid really.
Through my other business, Hamlet Mountaineering, I am as often adventuring in the hills as much as on the water. As for the air, as a licensed drone pilot with a passion for photography and videography, I think that has all areas covered.
