An Energising and Rejuvenating Journey to the Beautiful Summer Isles

We are really excited to team up with Jen Mullen “Ullapool Yoga Jen” by offering wilderness yoga adventures in the Summer Isles and the North West Highlands.
Experience the best of our overnight sea kayak excursions with the addition of a daily yoga practice. Each trip will begin with a short yoga warm-up to prepare for a day journeying by kayak amongst the spectacular Summer Isles. On one of the many islands or coastal headlands we will set our camp before unwinding with a restorative yoga practice led by Jen. Enjoy being present on the island, perhaps a swim in the sea, journaling or simply relaxing amongst the beautiful landscape before a delicious evening meal prepared by our team.
Awaken the next morning with an energising yoga session with the sounds of the sea as a backdrop. A fresh and nourishing breakfast will set us up for another exciting journey on the water. All tours are suitable for beginners in both yoga and kayaking with a low guide to guest ratio.

Vinyasa Yoga
Connecting breath to movement
Vinyasa Yoga is a style of yoga involving flowing through poses while coordinating with your breath at each movement. We think Vinyasa pairs beautifully with the natural ebb and flow of the sea and our breaths come in harmony with the rolling of background waves. Our Vinyasa Yoga sessions will be simple but intentional as we will be practicing in the natural environment. A morning ‘awakening’ will help strengthen and prepare our bodies and minds for the day’s paddle ahead. An evening restorative session will allow us to unwind and connect with ourselves and nature on a deeper level. We will land our kayaks in remote and spectacular places with the aim of enjoying our yoga with the sounds and sensations of nature and the spectacular view.

Find a deeper connection with the coast as we venture along it in our sea kayaks. The aim of our yoga weekends is to offer an enjoyable journey to our camp location of choice. Our route will allow us the time to experience the small wonders of the sea as we pass, whether that be discovering what life thrives on the foreshore, a scenic lunch on a beach with mountain views or simply spending time on the ocean under our own power. The silence of a sea kayak gives us a unique and wonderful perspective to our surroundings.

An Overnight Experience
Camp in comfort and connect to the wild
As part of our experience we will reach our camp from our kayaks, wherever the weather and our will takes us. We will provide you with premium quality camping equipment to make sure you are warm and comfortable during your adventure. Our team will take you to the best campsites in the area, which can vary in location to suit the weather we expect during our trip. Our group yurt gives us a dry space to escape should it rain.

Fresh, revitalising meals
Wherever possible we source our food from local providers and take pride in catering to your dietary requirements. In keeping with our yoga retreat we will provide a nourishing, healthy and tasty meal plan to ensure you are contently fed and full throughout our activities. We will cook and cater for you in the field with fresh ingredients which we will pack and carry in our kayaks to our camp.
