Clothing Guide

Footwear:

It is essential that you bring boots with ankle support. We recommend hiking boots or sturdy water shoes. Any footwear worn will get wet.

We reserve the right to refuse access to the gorge with us should inappropriate footwear be worn The nature of our excursion will involve slippery and rocky terrain where good ankle support is essential to the safety of both you and the group.

Trainers / low cut water shoes are not appropriate footwear for this gorge.

Lower-Half:

Swimwear / under-wear or light base layers.

Jeans or cotton are not appropriate.

Top Half:

A light synthetic base-layer or t-shirt. Swimwear is also appropriate.

Synthetic or merino wool layers are most comfortable when wet. Jeans or cottons are not appropriate.

It is important to also bring spare warm top layers, just incase you get cold or through the day, we will provide you a dry-bag to store these in. There are plenty of options to pause during the day to add or remove layers to your comfort.

Gloves are optional, but may be worth considering on a colder day – these will get wet.

Other Considerations

Cameras & Phones

Taking electronic devices onto the water comes with an inherent risk. It is your decision whether you want to take it. We provide dry-bags and phone cases if you do want to take a phone / camera with you, but the risk is you own.

Medication

If you are on medication or require medication stops during the day, you must declare this on our booking form. This will in no way affect your booking but  allows our guides to tailor the trip itinerary to include your needs.
