Scotland’s coastal fringe was it’s original highway, carried by boat trade and traditions have thrived for generations around our salt sprayed shores. Travelling by kayak offers a unique and quiet perspective to enjoy the wonders our sea has created from shell sand beaches to sandstone archways, wild-life and culture.
The Summer Isles is an archipelago of 21 large islands, 38 including the rocky skerries dry enough to sleep on. Boasting gentle tides and spectacular scenery they offer some of the best paddling Scotland has to offer. There are many caves and archways to explore, tropically blue sandy shallows and enticing beaches. Located in the marine protected zone the islands are a haven for wildlife both above and below the waters. Surrounding the islands Coigach, Annat Bay and Loch Broom host similarly alluring paddling opportunities with a wonderful variety of coastline to explore, whether for a morning of multiple days.

Half Day Sea Kayak
10am-1pm / 2pm-5pm
A perfect taster session to dip your toes into the world of paddling, or experience a short adventure as part of your holiday journey.
We will select our paddling venue to suit the weather to your ambition and ability. There is a trip for all abilities.
Meeting at the shoreline we will kit you up with all you need to be comfortable for the day ahead then set out onto the sea. From here we will seek to explore a local route around the coastline exploring the many features it has to offer and keeping an eye out for local wildlife.

Full Day Sea Kayak
10am-4pm
Our full day trips offer the chance to really explore the wonders of the sea and develop your confidence as a kayaker. We will select our paddling venue to suit the weather to your ambition and ability. There is a trip for all abilities.
Meeting at the shoreline we will kit you up with all you need to be comfortable for the day ahead then set out onto the sea. From here we will seek to explore remote beaches, caves and archways if the conditions allow and keep an eager eye out for seals, porpoise, otter and sea eagles as we go.
As part of the day we will take regular pauses on wild beaches and offer the chance to brew a hot drink on our wood fired kelly kettle stove. We are world famous for our hot chocolates!

Our Private coaching days are bespoke to you. As well as coaching days we often lead the more committing coastal adventures such as Stoer Head, Handa Island, Cape Wrath and North Coast.

There is perhaps no greater joy than setting out in a kayak with the aim to sleep somewhere along the shore.
Inside our kayaks we can fit everything we need to not just survive but thrive whether a night or two, a week or more. As part of our overnight adventures we will provide you with world class camping equipment as well as luxurious locally sourced food prepared and cooked in the field by our guides.
Our team are seasoned expedition paddlers who have led kayak journeys all across the world, we love sharing our top tips and handy hints we’ve discovered along the day, as well as learning from those that you have learnt from your own journey in life.
