An adventure to remember
This is your chance to venture into some of Scotland’s most remote and wild areas. Using our Venture Canadian canoes, we will explore the inland Lochs of Inverpollaidh or Assynt. Our regular paddle on Loch Lurgainn looks over the rugged ridge-lines of the iconic Stac Pollaidh, the pointed peak of Sgurr an Fhidleir and the mighty summit of Cul Beag. Surrounded by mountains the loch features some of the finest hidden sandy beaches in the area.
When we offer the chance to have a go at brewing hot chocolates, teas and coffees on our wood fired Kelly kettle, a perfect chance to enjoy a wee sustainable fireside cuppa on a remote beach.
We take the day at your pace and ambition.
On a normal trip we will meet at 10am at our pre-discussed location, chosen to best fit the weather and your ambitions. From here, we will kit you up with canoes, paddles and buoyancy aids. We offer dry-bags to carry your lunch and spare clothing, accessories.
Our expert guides will equip you with the necessary skills, top tips and handy-hints to give you the confidence you need to enjoy your day on the water. From there we can explore the islands and beaches to your choosing. On windier days, we may opt for a linear journey with a short portage (carry) between three lochs, to make the best most enjoyable day possible.
On half days, we will aim to return three hours after first meeting, arriving back to our meeting point around 1pm (10am start) or 4.30pm (1.30pm start). On our full day trips we will return for approximately 4pm.
