Canoe Meeting Points

Our launch points to your adventure

Please find below our frequently used meeting points.

Usually, we will contact you within 24 hours of your planned adventure with us to confirm the most suitable location. We reserve the ability to tailor our start points to the most appropriate venue for the weather conditions and our group ability. As always your safety is our highest priority.

Of course, this does not mean these are the only locations we visit. We offer trips virtually anywhere in Scotland and would be delighted to discuss any option you may have to make your dreams and adventures possible.

Please Note Section 5 of our Terms and Conditions regarding attendance to our meeting locations.

Stac Pollaidh Car Park

Launch Site 1

Our most frequent meeting spot for Canoe days. The Stac Pollaidh carpark is approximately a 15 minute drive south from Achiltibuie or a 25 minute drive north from Ullapool. We launch approximately 300m along the road toward  Ullapool from the Stac Pollaidh car park. To find us walk east along the road until you reach a wide bend, here there is a small path down to a small sandy beach with a birch forest.

PLEASE NOTE: ACCESS TO OUR LAUNCH BEACH IS FOUND BY WALKING FROM THE CARPARK ALONG THE ROAD 300M EAST TOWARD ULLAPOOL.

There is currently no phone signal at the car-park, the nearest signal is available east at the junction to the A835.

We encourage you to please be courteous and allow others to pass on the single track road.

Elphin Tea Rooms

Launch Point 2

Just off the A835, in the centre of Elphin, the tea rooms make a great meeting point before venturing out to Loch Veyatie for a canoe adventure, perhaps to climb Suilven along the way. Nearby Cam Loch is also a lovely area to explore with fascinating bird life.
